The application for the 2025-26 New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is now open for students to apply.
Here are the simple steps to complete your TAP:
- Prepare the information you'll need.
- A FAFSA MUST be completed prior to filling out your TAP application.
- If you missed the link at the end of the FAFSA, visit hesc.ny.gov/NYSTAP to start your application.
- Sign in with your HESCPIN and select the 2025-26 academic year from the drop-down.
- Complete the TAP application with your information.
- Sign and submit your TAP application.
REMINDER: A TAP application must be submitted EACH YEAR to qualify for the TAP Award.
