TAP 2023-24 Academic Year Closeout – First Notice

We are starting our closeout of TAP processing for the 2023-24 academic year, which ended on June 30, 2024.  We are denying incomplete 2023-24 applications and no longer accepting outstanding missing information or documentation for that year.

As part of the closeout process, we have released the IVP obligation for unverified AY 2023-24 TAP, Excelsior and ETA awards. Schools will notice unverified TAP awards appearing on recent 2023-24 rosters and unverified Excelsior and ETA awards on 2023-24 manifests.

All outstanding certification transactions on 2023-24 rosters and manifests must be submitted by schools as soon as possible. Per our policies and procedures, schools must certify awards issued on Payment Rosters no later than 60 days from the date the roster was issued or 30 days from the end of the term, whichever is later.  Transactions left pending or in an error status beyond our deadlines will be decertified.

Pending Certifications

To review pending student certification transactions for 2023-24 academic year, click on “View/Submit Pending Certification,” enter academic year 2023 and click view records.  Select the “details” link for each student, enter appropriate values, and submit.  A message will appear at the top of the screen indicating if the transaction was successfully submitted.  Please use the available links to certify your pending Excelsior or ETA records as well.

Certification Errors

Schools must also resubmit certification transactions that were not processed due to errors.  To view errored certification transactions, click on “View/Correct Student Certification,” enter academic year 2023, select "Errored" under status, and click view records.  Select the “details” link for each student, review the reason for the error, and make any necessary corrections. Click the submit button in the bottom right corner of the screen. A message will appear at the top of the screen indicating if the transaction was successfully submitted.  Please use the available links to correct errored certifications for Excelsior or ETA records as well.

Schools should begin reconciling their accounts for the 2023-24 academic year.  We strongly advise reviewing the most recent 2023-24 Student Status List and Payment Status Report to ensure your student accounts reflect accurate payment amounts for 2023-24 awards.
