The Nonprofit Educational Assistance Initiative aims to improve access to educational assistance and promote career advancement scholarships for nonprofit employees.

Nonprofit organizations fulfill critical services and generally serve to help improve the quality of life in their surrounding communities.

New York State offers two new higher education financial aid programs to help employees of voluntary not-for-profit child welfare agencies.

NYS Child Welfare Worker Incentive Scholarship Program

  • This program grants awards for child welfare workers employed at voluntary not-for-profit child welfare agencies licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Learn more.
