Guidance On Vaccination Scholarship Recipients

Dear Colleagues,

Please find a copy of the Prize Agreement for the NYS Vaccine Scholarship Incentive Program that has been sent to all selected winners of the contest.  Please note that recipients will have a prize agreement corresponding to the scholarship contest they won. For 5–11-year-old participants, the contest was named "Vaccinate, Educate, Graduate Vaccine Incentive," while for children aged 12-17, it was called "Get a Shot to Make your Future Vaccine Incentive." Despite the contest titles, the information contained in the two prize agreements remain the same.

Please share this information with your financial aid, bursars, and admissions offices to ensure that award recipients receive the benefits they are eligible.

Interruptions of Study
Students must be matriculated and remain continuously enrolled in a full-time degree program unless a request for a leave of absence or part time study, as outlined in Section E, is approved by the institution.

Scholarship Payments
While New York State officials work to finalize the payment structure to schools, we are asking schools to waive fees, deposits and other costs normally covered by a New York State cost of attendance scholarship until further details of the payment structure are available.

HESC will notify all schools as more information becomes available regarding the payment process for the Vaccination Scholarship. In the interim, if you have any questions, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
