Release of 2020 Fall Academic Term Prepayments

Dear Colleague,

In the upcoming weeks, HESC will begin releasing prepayments on your roster for the Fall 2020 academic term.

Prepayments will total 80 percent of your calculated prepayment rate; however, HESC's college accounting reports (PAYDOCS) will continue to reflect the full prepayment amount. Consistent with the payments made for student certified awards for 2019-20, the 20 percent of prepayments that are temporarily withheld are not cuts to student awards, but rather a change in the payment schedule made to schools. Consequently, student awards are NOT to be reduced and schools should defer such students' tuition for the entire amount of a student's estimated award.

Please ensure that your school's financial aid representatives are communicating this appropriately to impacted students.

At this time, the remaining 20 percent of payments for 2019-20 will remain temporarily withheld.
