New Merit-Based Scholarship Available for Your Graduating High School Seniors

Your graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a college or university located within the State may be eligible to receive a new merit-based State scholarship –– the New York State Achievement and Investment in Merit Scholarship (NY-AIMS).

STEM Incentive Program Scholarship Applications Available Through Aug. 15

Graduating seniors in the top 10 percent of their high school class who plan to pursue a STEM major at a SUNY or CUNY college may apply for a New York State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program scholarship through August 15, 2015.

New York’s FAFSA Completion Initiative Continues

Did you know that as of April 17, 2015 only an estimated 45.7 percent of high school seniors across New York State high schools completed a FAFSA? According to a recent study, only 40.8 percent of high school seniors nationally had completed a FAFSA by College Signing Day.

Save the Date: New York College Application Week Set for Oct. 26-30

New York’s 2015 College Application Week (CAW) is scheduled for October 26 – 30. Last year, more than 200 high schools and community groups across New York helped more than 7,300 students submit nearly 17,000 college applications.
