Attention High School Seniors

The New York State Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Incentive Program is offered to encourage high school students to pursue STEM careers in New York State. This program provides tuition awards to undergraduate students attending a SUNY or CUNY school, including Community Colleges, in exchange for five years of employment in STEM fields. Click here for additional information on the STEM Incentive Program.

If you're a current high school senior in the top 10% of your high school class and will be studying Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at a SUNY or CUNY school, you may be eligible for an award. The STEM Incentive Program provides annual amounts equal to the SUNY resident tuition rate, or actual tuition, whichever is less. If other tuition-only assistance is received, the amount of the STEM Incentive Program award will be reduced by an equivalent amount.

* 2015 NYS Taxable Income - include New York State, Federal and local government pensions received and private pension and annuity amount excluded in 2015.

It is not a predictor of your individual award and you should not rely on the Estimator in making your individual financial decisions. The Estimator functions based on the current TAP formula in law.
