College Application Month Early Registration - Now Open!

NYS College Application Month Early Registration is Now Open!

As you know, College Application Month (CAM) is a nationwide campaign that seeks to bridge the gap between high school graduation and postsecondary education. Its primary goal is to increase the number of students applying to college from New York State high schools, especially considering the nationwide declining trend in undergraduate college enrollment. By equipping students with the necessary tools and guidance, we aim to ensure that every New York State student has an equal opportunity to pursue higher education and unlock their full potential.

In addition, CUNY, SUNY, and over 50 private colleges took advantage of the college application fee waiver. We want to ensure that every student takes advantage of this once again this year!

Last year, high schools across New York State supported record CAM participation, with some schools recording a one hundred percent senior participation. This year, we aim to grow CAM even further to better support schools and students throughout the state. HESC will be releasing our expanded and updated resource toolkit later this fall with new and updated downloadable information, guides, and checklists, and we’re increasing the number of HESC events that are designed to assist counselors and students in better understanding the financial aid and college application process.

The success of this initiative hinges on the active participation of New York high schools and securing your commitment to increasing the number of students applying to college.

Schools can register here to participate in this year’s CAM initiative. Registrations before June 30, 2024, will have priority access to the limited supply of promotional items for your schools.

We believe in education's impact on society, and your support will make a substantial difference in students' lives. We look forward to working together to help create a bright future for all of New York State’s youth.

Thank you,
