Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

A Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a grant for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need.

Students who receive Federal Pell Grants and have the most financial need will receive FSEOGs first. FSEOGs are awarded by a college's financial aid office based on information in the FAFSA.

Award Amount

Students can receive between $100 and $4,000 a year, depending on:

  • Financial need
  • When you apply
  • Amount of other aid you receive
  • Availability of funds at your school
